I continue to think more about ways I can pray for my husband and children. I note this morning that Jesus prays twice in John 17 that God would protect His followers from the evil one.
I remember to pray that God would protect my family.
I also consider the beautiful blessing in Psalm 115 and pray this over my family:
Psalm 115: 14-15
May the Lord cause you to flourish,
both you and your children.
May you be blessed by the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Next, I think about Psalm 90:7: “May the favor of the Lord rest upon us and establish the work of our hands.”
I pray that God’s favor rests on my children and that He directs and blesses the work of their hands.
Finally, I pray that God grants that the spirit of revelation to know God better (Ephesians 1:17) and that God would “turn their eyes from worthless things” (Psalm 119:37).
