When I read Psalm 103:4-5 (NIV) as a younger person, I felt like peered into the goodness of God’s character in a fresh way. This is who He is and what He does: God is the One who “redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Redeems, crowns, satisfies, renews. Carry those verbs in your pocket today like smooth pebbles of hope. And look for good things coming your way (often in unusual packages). Picture that eagle who hardly flaps her wings; she soars because she knows about the secret power source of the thermals. It’s a day for good things. It’s a day for soaring.
