I read in Jeremiah 23:29 the words of the Lord. He says, “Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?”
I think of the power at work when we read the Bible. I think of how is blazes within us to consume error and invite truth. It breaks apart the rocks of sin, of bitterness, stubbornness, and any idol.
It blazes and breaks. I read it and allow its powerful, precise work.
