This morning, I remember to always look for the opportunity. In particular, I consider how every situation–every single one!–offers an opportunity to exert kindness and offer blessing. Every situation invites us to trust God for something. An opportunity refers to favorable conditions for something desired to happen, so we often think we don’t have favorable conditions for the good things we desire. We don’t see opportunities. But what if we saw every moment as a favorable moment to do something good, to trust God more, to build unity, to sow peace and hope and love?
We’d turn discouragement into possibility. We’d walk around at the height of potential despair and say, “Why, look at this favorable moment right here!”
