Hello Friend!

Here’s a little about me…

I write books, teach advanced writing at Penn State, and speak regularly to encourage audiences to connect deeply with Jesus and one another.

I’m an associate teaching professor who studied at University of Virginia and the University of Michigan—my students call me a “walking exclamation point.”

I’m probably most known for my love of Ephesians 2:6 and what it means to be seated with Christ. I also started a daily blog in 2010 and barely missed a day of blogging for over a decade. You can enjoy the archives here

When I’m not writing, teaching, or speaking, I’m growing a plum orchard, looking for turtles in the woods, or gathering with friends for dinner and a movie.
